FREELANCE GRAPHIC DESIGN FOR PRINT AND WEB

Going from strength to strength I decided to take redundancy in 2008 and concentrate full time on the client base that I had built up over the past years.

Using my extensive knowledge in the industry and the “never say no” attitude, my mission is use what I have learnt over the many years to service, advise wherever possible, and maintain the many happy clients that I have gained over this amazing journey.

FSB Business Awards Finalist 2016

Nominated as a finalist in the catagory of Best Small Business (South East) 2016, at the annual FSB Small Business Awards.

The event took place at the plush Pullman Hotel at St Pancras for the FSB London Awards Gala Dinner.

2005

FREELANCE GRAPHIC DESIGN

Whilst also working at Bespoke Envelopes I also started Freelancing for clients that became without a printers when Adrian Press went into administration.

2004

STUDIO MANAGER

BESPOKE ENVELOPES DIRECT, BARKING, ESSEX

Set up and continually improve the existing Studio. Develop Design and Typesetting for the manufacture of Envelopes and Direct Mailing. Customer Liaison. Supervise and train members of staff. Troubleshoot technical problems within Flexo and Reprographics.

2002

HEAD OF DESIGN / STUDIO MANAGER

ADRIAN PRESS, ILFORD, ESSEX

Returned from New Zealand into the role of Senior Designer /Studio Manager with extended Customer Liaison duties.

2001

GRAPHIC DESIGNER / MAC OPERATOR

PROTYPE GRAPHICS, AUCKLAND, NZ

Daily work varied from taking briefs from the company representatives and clients for various design projects, organising photo shoots when required, presenting ideas and suggestions in the proofing stages, following through to the completion of the project.

1990

STUDIO JUNIOR

ADRIAN PRESS, ILFORD, ESSEX

Completed a 4 year in house training scheme in Drawing Board Artwork, Camera Skills, Film Assembly and Platemaking. Progressing from Studio Junior to Artworker I undertook Customer Liaison that included taking design briefs from Client visits, On-site meetings or through company representatives. Producing ideas and suggestions at proofing stages, including mock-ups, and working through the project until completion.

Natural progression lead me to Studio Management, which included work progression and delegation within a team of six studio members. Training of juniors from computer layout to film assembly through to platemaking. Left for a years travelling in New Zealand.
